The XactPAY Upload Utility:
The payroll data upload is performed automatically by the XactPAY Upload Utility,
which is downloaded and installed from this website after a Hartford’s Workers'
Compensation policy is issued. The XactPAY Upload Utility reads your client's QuickBooks®
payroll data by using a data connection tool (SDK) provided by QuickBooks for third
party applications such as XactPAY Web®.
The XactPAY Upload Utility polls your client's QuickBooks® company data file periodically for new payroll data
and then uploads the data to XactPAY Web® for premium calculation. Users will have
to manually trigger the first upload in order to grant the XactPAY Upload
Utility access to the payroll data. All subsequent uploads will process
automatically, assuming the computer is turned on and an internet connection is available.

XactPAY Web® Step-by-Step
- After your client has purchased a Hartford Workers' Compensation policy and completed the setup process, they are ready to transmit their first payroll to XactPAY Web®.
- Your client will upload the payroll data to XactPAY Web® via a web-based data upload process.
- XactPAY Web® will calculate the Workers' Compensation Insurance premium for the applicable payroll period, applying state min-max and inclusion-exclusion rules.
- The Hartford will send your client an email notification of the upcoming premium draw amount.
- The Hartford will draw the premium amount from your client's checking account.
