How to Pitch XactPAY Web® to Customers
Many QuickBooks® users are advised by independent insurance agents for the risk management issues facing their businesses.  Opening a relationship with a Hartford appointed independent insurance agent could prove mutually beneficial to all parties involved.  To contact a Hartford agent in your area you can visit our website at www.TheHartford.com

Another easy way to identify opportunities may be to poll your current clients. The XactPAY Web® service will be available to them if they meet our eligibility requirements and purchase a Hartford Workers' Compensation policy or if they are a current Hartford Workers' Compensation policyholder.

Please be advised that only licensed and appointed agents of The Hartford may offer, solicit and sell any insurance products available from The Hartford.
How to Participate
  1. Determine if your existing clients and/or your new clients use QuickBooks® for their payroll processing and are interested in the XactPAY Web® service.
  2. You or your client may complete the referral form contained in this website.  If you submit on your client's behalf, remember to include your contact information on the referral form.
  3. Upon receipt, a Hartford representative will contact your client to discuss XactPAY Web® and available Workers Compensation coverages.  If the client is already a Hartford insured we will research their policy, contact them for any additional required information and process the conversion setup for XactPAY Web®.  If the client is not already a Hartford insured, The Hartford’s representative will obtain all necessary underwriting information from your client.  If they meet The Hartford’s underwriting guidelines and they accept our offer to provide Workers Compensation coverage, a policy will be issued to them.
  4. We will then send the insured a consent and EFT authorization form necessary for XactPAY Web®. When the forms are completed and returned we will issue your client an XactPAY Web® ID and password. Upon receipt of the secure ID and Password from us, the insured will need to:
    1. Download and install the XactPAY Upload Utility
    2. Enter ID and password and run first payroll data upload
  5. In order to participate in this program, each accountant or consultant must agree to the terms of a standard marketing agreement which will be forwarded to you when you enter your first XactPAY Web® referral. To be eligible to receive the $50 referral fee, the accountant or consultant must submit a disclosure form for each referral signed by their client. The disclosure form will be forwarded along with the service and marketing agreement.  Referral fees paid during a 12-month period are capped at $5,000.
