How to Pitch to Customers
Many QuickBooks® users are advised by QuickBooks® Pro-Advisors who are accountants and financial specialists certified to setup and answer questions about QuickBooks® products. Opening a relationship with these advisors could prove mutually beneficial to all parties involved. To contact a QuickBooks® Pro-advisor in your area simply visit the QuickBooks® website.

Another easy way to identify QuickBooks® users may be to poll your current clients. The XactPAY Web® service will be available to them if they meet our eligibility requirements and purchase a Hartford Workers' Compensation policy or if they are a current Hartford Workers' Compensation policyholder.
How to Participate  
  1. Determine if your existing clients and/or your new clients use QuickBooks® for their payroll processing.
  2. You or your client may complete the referral form contained in this website.  If you submit on your client's behalf, remember to include your Hartford agency code.
  3. Upon receipt, a Hartford representative will contact your client to discuss XactPAY Web® and available Workers Compensation coverages. If the client is already a Hartford insured we will look-up their policy, contact them for any additional required information and process the conversion setup for XactPAY Web®.
  4. If the client is not already a Hartford insured, The Hartford’s representative will obtain all necessary underwriting information from your client. If they meet The Hartford’s underwriting guidelines and they accept our offer to provide Workers Compensation coverage, a policy will be issued to them.
  5. We will then send the insured a consent and EFT authorization form necessary for XactPAY Web®. When the forms are completed and returned we will issue your client an XactPAY Web® ID and password. Upon receipt of the secure ID and Password from us, the insured will need to:
    1. Download and install the XactPAY Upload Utility
    2. Enter ID and password and run first payroll data upload
  6. During the process of evaluating your client for a Workers Compensation policy, The Hartford representative will establish a new producer sub-code for your agency. This sub code will be a unique code setup for your XactPAY Web® clients only.
  7. An addendum to your commercial lines agency agreement will be sent to you establishing the terms and conditions related to the servicing of the XactPAY Web® business. All commissions paid to your agency for XactPAY Web® policies will be paid in accordance with the terms of your commercial lines agency agreement through this sub-code.
