What is XactPAY Web®?
XactPAY Web® is The Hartford's integrated Workers' Compensation premium payment service available to Hartford Workers Compensation policyholders that use QuickBooks®.
The service calculates insurance premiums for a Hartford Workers' Compensation policy, which amount is then drawn by The Hartford directly from a policyholder’s bank account every time they run payroll through QuickBooks®.
The service offers a unique and hassle free approach to paying for Workers'
Compensation Insurance. Rather than your client paying for insurance up to a year in advance and tying up their vital cash, premiums are
paid through the policy term one payroll period at a time!
XactPAY Web® is the only insurance payment service integrated with QuickBooks®.
Agent Eligibility
Hartford agents with commercial lines authority may refer to The Hartford’s Payroll Alliances
Center their clients that wish to utilize XactPAY Web®. All policies issued through The Hartford's Payroll Alliances Center will be serviced by the center in accordance with the terms and conditions of an agreement that will be provided to all agents upon receipt of a submission.

Process At-A-Glance
Providing your clients using QuickBooks® access to XactPAY Web® is easy. Once you have determined that your client processes their payroll using QuickBooks®, a referral using this website's referral page
is all you need to start the process.
Simply complete the referral form and a Hartford representative will contact your client to start the process. If your client meets the underwriting guidelines and accepts the Hartford’s Workers Compensation quote proposal, they will be ready to begin.
- Your Hartford insured runs their payrolls through QuickBooks®.
- Our XactPAY Upload Utility automatically uploads the insured's payroll data each time payroll is processed.
- XactPAY Web® then calculates the Workers' Compensation premium based on the payroll data and The Hartford draws the premium
for the applicable period from the insured's bank account.
Eligibility / Requirements
- In order to use XactPAY Web®, your client's business must:
- Obtain a Workers' Compensation insurance policy from The Hartford.
- Use Intuit QuickBooks® PC Desktop Versions 2007 or newer
- Intuit QuickBooks® Basic, Standard, Enhanced or Assisted Payroll subscription (does not work with QuickBooks Online Payroll)
- Use Windows XP/Vista
- Have Internet Access
